Haha, much as street magicians such as Criss Angel and David Blaine go round earning big bucks by performing magic, many other commoners like you and I, and even scientists have stepped into the fray by trying to predict how did they perform those "out of this world" stuns.
Well, I am quite interested too...so I went to do some research...dun worry Jun Rong...secrets won't be revealed. Haha.
An 18 yr old scientist on one of the website claimed that Criss Angel used the Hutchison effect to help him levitate from the ground (this is not the only levitation trick he did). The Hutchison effect is one that is interesting.
Hutchison claims that while trying to duplicate experiments done by Nikola Tesla, he discovered a number of strange phenomena, including:
- levitation of heavy objects
- fusion of dissimilar materials such as metal and wood
- the anomalous heating of metals without burning adjacent material
- the spontaneous fracturing of metals
- changes in the crystalline structure and physical properties of metals.
- disappearing metal samples
However, ever since 1991, he has failed to reproduce this phenomenon, which will certainly stop us from learning THERMODYNAMICS as a topic as it defies those laws. Some of his results can also be explained by other theories...
Coming back to the 18 yr old scientist remarks (18 yr old and can be scientist? He must be god-like), ppl immediately rebutted him...saying that this phenomenon is untested and it is simply too risky for him to use it.
Some others claim that it was due to a strong electro-magnet which allowed him to levitate...while others claimed that it was all camera tricks.
Well, all those u can go read up urself. Just google it, and u will find all those comments.
I found one video, that shows how Criss levitates from the ground to a ledge...albeit not from one building to another...so here is the link...you can just view it...
