Limits.
Thats what we are approaching...at least on this blog. Its good on one hand that all of you voice your displeasure here, and hopefully misunderstandings are cleared and conflicts settled once everything has been ironed out. But Shui Yong is right, this medium is not effective in reaching out to the target audience. For goodness sake, I doubt they even visit the blog at all...so no use throwing everything here. You want to settle feuds, do it in class, and let the class know about it. Dun post it here in no man's land and leave those involved oblivious to these things.
Range.
The longest distance that one can hit. I am sure we are nearing that soon. The cauldron will explode, leaving the innocent hurt and victimised but what was only a small matter that was blown out of proportion. It can be compared to a farmer in Indonesia starting off a small fire in order to clear a plot of land for his own farming. But he did not bother to smoother the fire, and soon it spun out of control, burning many more acres of forestry. This caused a thick cloud of haze to hover over Singapore and many parts of Malaysia. What did the farmer not do? He failed to keep it within his range, so it resulted in affecting many other people...and cast many more shadows of doubts upon others.
Buffer.
The amount of patience one has before he/she erupts.
Definitely we can see many people have reached their maximum buffer capacity, or even exceeded it.....but they are not showing it to the people whom they feel that have caused it. Irony isn't it? Even mild mannered people have already started to lose their cool also. So dun bet on ANYONE blowing up. Everything has a limit....and the limit is coming.
Spotanenity.
The act of spouting out without warning or external influences.
The class may be okay one day, and in tatters the next...who knows...
Hope:
It is the quinssiential, simultaneously the source of your greatest strength, and also your greatest weakness.
I can only hope now.....that a miracle will happen. That a catalyst will be in place to lend its empty d-orbitals for conflicts to be settled. So that it will be in equilibrium.
Light.
I see only one way. The end is coming. There is light at the end of the tunnel, only if everyone turns up on Friday for lunch, and go according to shui yong's plan...
