Dear online class diary,
It was a very special day today (and yesterday) for our class. We got to meet up with our JC tutors for a meal, and sure had a hearty chat with them. There seemed to be a sense of "joy" to see them once again, as it brings back both fond memories, as well as the warmth and care which they had showered over us when we were under them.
We ate at Crystal Jade, and sure spent quality time together. It was a pity that some of our classmates were unable to make it, coupled with the absence of two of our tutors. If not, it would make the occassion all the more memoriable.
For starters, almost all the tutors had problems finding the restaurant. Haha, we had to "stand guard" at the entrance like sentry personnel, looking out for them. Mdm Lee was first to arrive. As usual, always the earliest. She had not changed one bit, and still sort of had that ability to induce laughter in our class. Next was Ms Goh, sporting a rather religious outfit this time. Ms Tan came in soon after, when she had found a parking lot (finally) for her car.
Topics discussed were different. The tutors once again proved to be great advisors and mentors for us. They asked if we had made any plans for the future for uni, and then gave them their $2M worth of advice, which I am sure will turn out helpful to guide us in making the right choice. Working experiences and army life were also the topics in discussion.
We enjoyed a good meal of dim sum and some other dishes. Mdm Lee insisted on paying by "shoving" a $50 note into my hand. But for once, she would not get it her way. Haha, we insisted on paying until she finally relented. After we took more photos with each of the teachers, we bade farewell to each other. But I am sure it would not be the last time. As Mdm Lee's sms adeptly put:
"Thank you. I won't forget 1805." , I am sure many of us will still remember each other even such a long time.
Thank you to all of you who have made this event a success! May all of our wishes be fulfilled!
PS: Once Mdm Lee passes me the photos, I will forward to all of you. The rest who took photos, make sure you upload them on the blog or pass it around too. Thanks!- Yick Loong
