Yeah! It was a very successful class outing yesterday! All thanks to Kenneth for organising it, and to the people that turned up. It truly brought back memories of us as a class in JC.
First up, 14 ppl turned up for the event. Another high compared to past outings. Surprisingly, the guys were all the first to arrive. Lol...bar Jun Rong...hiaz...you let us down!!! Lol just joking. We went to Swensen's to eat our dinner, then chatted for quite sometime. Andie (yet again), was a victim of another prank played by some ppl (wont reveal who), but this time he "pulled" Sue Lynn into it as well, so ended up, he got his things back rather easily :P
Afterwhich, we went to Marina Square to have a real chat at MacDonalds. Of course the guys were more into army stuff, and the girls are the topics. But we eventually settled down on a common topic. Eventful, I must say. Really spent 'quality time' together, catching up about each other's activities. Of course Andie turned out to be another victim among the guys, cause he got the most hair!!! Haha.
After the girls departed, 8 of us went to the arcade to play some games. Really drained quite a lot of money from our pockets lol. But it was worth it as it was also a sort of opportunity to bond. Finally, it was home sweet home for all of us.
Two things to mention about this event which made it all the more significant.
1. The class did not really 'split' up to do their own activities after the dinner. We still settled down at a place to continue chatting. Of course the ocassional "excuse me" did happen, but nevertheless, a good outing and bonding session.2. Kenneth had actually planned to update the class contact list. We designed it the night before the outing, and he passed it around for ppl to fill it up. All in good will. For one, once its updated and COMPLETED*, it will be passed to everyone via email and we can send each other well wishes/invitation cards etc. Another form to keep in contact. Secondly, many of us actually lost the original copy that we first made. So all the more this is important. :)I remember some time back, we were all thinking how long more this class could still keep in contact. 3 months? 6 months? 1 year? Now it has already passed 6 months, and I still get responses and smses from every member of the class. So it is indeed a good sign. Coupled with Kenneth's efforts, I am sure we will still be in contact for many months (or years) to come. :)
Lastly, to those who could not turn up for the event. Pls send your contact no. (HP and house if you want), as well as your house address to either Kenneth or I. Once updated, we will send a copy to everyone. So check your emails regularly too!All the best to the guys for their vocations. And to the girls, enjoy yourselves! Andie, any plans after this?
PS: Shui Yong, WE MISS YOU LOTS!!! LOL.
Cheers!
